Post by Aughnanure » Wed Apr 26, 2006 7:32 pm

...rifles that is ;)

Sheldon, the youngest chip, and I went for his first hunt yesterday.

Camped over night, also his first real camp out, not counting the Scouts.

To his (and my) great satisfaction the very first shot that he ever fired at a rabbit resulted in

The rifle is a .22rf conversion of a .310 Martini Cadet rifle, one of thousands converted by Sportco in South Australia.

The tent.

General view, our small cooking fire is behind the rock (non-exploding variety).

Slightly blured view of inside the accommodation.

After the cooking was done the fire got bigger.About 10.00 PM.

The other Brit was my Patt14 .22rf training rifle.

A good time was had by all.

Eoin and Sheldon.
