That rear sight is about as basic as you can get.

True, it's pretty basic but works well, never gets out of adjustment :!:

It serves a twofold purpose in that it is also the washer that takes up the slack that existed between the barrel and the body, the body had been filed for some reason and the barrel would overturn by hand.

It's a very fast sight to use.

What range does it zero at?

I zeroed it for 50yds as it is intended for a brush gun, either pigs or deer, never roos as they're protected and can only be shot on permit----- farmer has 1000 roos attacking his crops gets a permit to cull 5 :!: :!:
