Milsurp After Hours

Bore looks ok, although counter bored. Biggest problem is no front sight blade, some kind of bogus rear sight and the magazine doesn't function.

My loads are 20 grains of SR4759 in 348 or 8mm lebel cases trimmed to 1.500",

My bullet is a 285 gain x .738" long .435 diameter, and has a .350 diameter flat nose. seated to 2.124 "OAL

They run thru the mag if I want too but most of my 200 yard silouette matches are single load.

I got the 6 cav mold from lee on a special overrun and it was originally a gas check style that I opened up the base GC band to .434 with a reamer going .081 deep to make a good solid base band when cast.

Im waiting on a lee group mold.

Hi all, been away from the forums for awhile. Little time for shooting/collecting in the past year or so.

Starting to find the time to return. Shooting, collecting and the forums.

I did pick up a 78/81 Vetterli last year. Lovely rifle, and a great shooter once you sort out the reloading peculiarities.
