But, it is nice enough. I think I'm going to remove several layers of India from it. Take away most or all of the black paint and as much as I can get off of the stock of the varnish.

Does this mean I go to milsurp collectors hell.....or not?

Picked mine up yesterday, very pleased with it.

Nice looking stock with a couple of small repairs on it, all numbers match including the forestock.

Metal looks like it has spray on bed liner on it.

Bore looks new, I thought the muzzle was buggered up at first because I couldn't see the grooves but after a got my short range glasses and a flashlight I saw that it was more of the bedliner stuff.

The rear sight goes out to 2000 yards so it is a 2A and it is dated 1965.

I'll try and get some pics but it may be a while as I heading out of town Sunday and won't be back until the 4th. I have to work Saturday but I may sneek off to the range Sunday before my flight to see how it does with Argi surplus 7.62x51.

If they look alittle used, its because they were and are. I have had two from the last import. One mint in mahogand the other in the softer Coachwood with a rack number on it. They are 2 in my 7.62mm collection in case my semi's "fail" some day.
