Duncan the Reynolds book can still be picked up at a reasonable price, I got this copy sans dust jacket for 50 quid at a arms fair the other week. The copy with dust jacket cost me £60 2 or 3 years ago.

Skennerton is supposed to be publishing another run of The Lee Enfield Story but i am not sure when.

If there is something specific you are seeking send me a PM.

Having been to the Euroarms site I am going to contact 2 of the French agents to see what is available.

I don't know what the others make of these, but...

There is another author called Alan Petrillo. some of his stuff has turned up on Ebay, and they are fairly small, concise pamphlets that give the basics of each mark on Enfield. They're quite cheap, and a little more informative than the SAIS pamphlets, so possibly worth looking for.

I had another look at the site last night and printed off the info.

I am going to have to look into the requirements for a Cat 1 ownership (military calibers) and see what is involved. I still think that it will be better to re-chamber to a 'sporting' caliber which makes ownership Cat 5 which is MUCH less paper!

Of the 3 agents in France the one in Bordeaux is a bandit so I will ask my pal Alain to contact the other 2 and get some more info.

Will keep you posted.
