Ok. I may have just goofed up. I was on the 2 page and asked a question about "New" Mosin Nagants and then realized that the post date was in 2005. I necroed a thread by accident.
Sooo, I'll ask it here. What does "New" Mosin Nagant mean. I just started collecting and have three M-N's and they are all "Refurbs". The plus side is that they are all accurate out of the box, but I don't like shoot copper clad (condom) out of these "Old Ladies" and only plan on cast as much as possible. Sorry for the seeming ignorance. Thanks, GOF

Some forums I go by goofyoldfart and some I go as grumpyoldfart . I guess it just depended how I felt on the day I signed up. 
Don't know alot about the M-N's other than the three that I have shoot awfully well. They kick like a mule on my tender 65 yr old shoulder, though. this is the reason that I want to shoot reduce velocity cast for accuracy and hunting. I feel (believe) that a well balanced to bore and groove heavyweight (175-210) will give what I want. ease on shoulder and when hunting, penetration if properly placed. don't plan to hunt/shoot past 200meters. can't see well enough. Any suggestions on good starting loads would be greatly appreciated.
