You know...unlike some other sites where it is common.....I think you are the first person to mention on this site that he has reached 1000 posts. I don't know why that is that nobody else who broke a 1000 ever mentioned it.......maybe you are the first to post as much as a 1000 times to notice that the site keeps track of the number of posts. Or maybe everybody else, with a 1000 posts, was ashamed to admit that they had killed as much time posting stuff here and didn't call attention to it.

The number count, or rather the reactions to it, around the forums me I've always found interesting. Some posters seem to invest a fair bit of ego in the numbers.
There are those who comment on every "significant" number they reach eg 100, 500 etc.
There are those who see the number of posts as somehow relevant to their knowledge base eg "I've got over 2,000 posts so I know what I'm talking about".
There are those who can't let go and have in their tag line something like "over x,xxx posts on the old forum".
But I digress - back to the original content of the thread - Cricket.

Don't worry woftam, it took me almost 7 years to get to 1000 posts, so you won't have to be bothered by reading about my 2000 posts for another 7 years.

I currently have 1776 posts which is good as I'm inclined to be a bit pro the Revolution-------------------sorry, War of Independence--------------------------but whenI press 'Submit' that will go. Ah!! Fleeting fame.
