The oldest I have is a sporting flintlock rifle made by "'Christoph Ris in Wienn".

Ris was working in Vienna 1732-57. He became an apprentice in 1732, master in 1745 and guildmaster in 1755. He ceased working in 1757 by handing over his workshop to his son-in-law Joseph Fruhwirth.

The rifle is probably c1750.

Just got a Martini Henry Mk.II rifle. Made by BSA in 1889. A rifle from the Nepal cache of ancient armaments.

Previous oldest was a French 1892 ordnance revolver made in 1894. Also have a Colt Navy percussion from 1867, but it is pretty well used, and I don't consider it a shooter.

I look forward to reloading my own ammunition for my "new" Martini Henry. Not real thrilled with the $5.00 a pop, too small a bullet ammo from Ten X I bought! Working on a bullet swage die to make some paper-patch bullets for the obsolete beast.
