Looks like the Brits have 25 yard ranges. If others with target stands that move could move then back to 25 yards, that would maybe open it up for more participation.

Standing at 25 yards with the 22 would seem reasonable. 10 shots standing with the 22 would seem reasonable too.

What about it Joe, Dave, Adam, etc. ? Would it be difficult to go to longer distances than 25 yards with the 22?

Shooting a .22 would be no problem for me at any range, i can use it on my fathers farm as its not full bore.

I suppose we could set a target up at 50yds at

6c range after that it would have to a 100yds.

25yds is easier I thought Joe suggested prone for the .22.

I think I'll leave the 25 yards standing for the 22 comp. Standing is easier to accomplish on some ranges with benches or in some make your own range area.

Think a standard 100 yard target for the full bore rifles. Same as NRA 100 yard, which is the same as in the last shooting contest.

Suggestions for the .22 target?

American Decimal Tin Hats for the .22 25yrd standing, they are designed for the job.

You can see them here 2/3s way down the page, two tin hats to the target:

That would be good Adam

But might be a little hard to find the targets.

How about this target? It can be downloaded online and printed with a normal computer printer on normal letter size paper. Anybody, anywhere, with a printer can have it free of charge.
