He's probably afraid you'll try to take it for a trip around the gulf.

There are just too many levers, switches, and valves for him to play with!

We were on British rations while in the field once. You sort of need the rum ration to face kidney pie.

Hmmmm........ You think rugby is such a "man's game" and now it's those awful sounding rations you call "man food". Everything has to be "man-ly" with you, is there something about you that we aren't aware of?

CROISEUR COLBERT

Here are some images that I took on the Colbert last September.
She was berthed in Port de la Lune near Cours de la Martinique in Bordeaux in 1993 but in May this year was towed to to be broken up. She was launched in 1959 as an anti-aircraft cruiser and later converted to a missile cruiser armed with Masurca and Exocet systems.
The socialist Mayor and council of Bordeaux wanted to get rid of her as she did not fit into their ideas for the re-juvination of the river front and so they sighted her heavy use of asbestos as an excuse to have her removed.
In truth, she was under funded as an attraction ( thank you M.la Mayor )and needed a lot of TLC but I am really pleased I managed to see round her before she was towed down river.
I have also visited HMS Belfast and there are a lot of similarities between the two ships.
