Put it together today. I did notice the rod didn't want to go as deep into the stock as it should. But that can be fixed. It might need a bit more tung oil and a few other touches , but it is pretty much good to go as it is.

Good thing my wife wasn't home. She would have had a fit me photographing my project and my reproduction 1853 on her bed spread.
