Milsurp After Hours Internet Match?

Re: Milsurp After Hours Internet Match?
I thought the .22 was one of the choices? If you include the M39 Finn as a MN it won't be much of a contest
I personally could enter the following rifles.....Garand, O3/A3, M1 carbine, M98 Mauser, SMLE, Type 99, MN, K-31, M95 and don't have but handloads for some. Big bores at 100 yards? Regards, Rick.

Re: Milsurp After Hours Internet Match?
.22 is still a choice...and looks like the favorite at the moment. I was just making an observation about how such a contest may discourage large participation considering how we have some excellent .22 shooters here who would be hard to beat. We may have to have a Davy Crockett rule concerning digging one .22 bullet out on top of another....on top of another..... to prove score.
That could be interesting...
Anybody else have any match proposals...any caliber? If you do, you only have another half dozen hours to speak up.

I am in favour of either B/P rifle or the .22 rimmy's, why not have .22 at 25yrds in two catagories ,one with open sights standing unsuported and one with scopes also standing unsuported.

Re: Milsurp After Hours Internet Match?
I am ok with any of the proposed shoots including a 100m full bore shoot, the BP comp I could do but it would take me a little more time to organise a loan rifle and the makings. A .22 comp we could allow scopes or irons, whatever the individual prefers.
Whatever is voted for I will fit in with, but I would like to see the rules and course of fire kept reasonably simple.

I'm with Joe on this one.
.22 and 100 meter full bore shoot is no problem.
BP muzzle loader or breach loader only when there are enough competitors.
About the rules: KIS (Keep It Simple)
Met vriendelijke groet,
Martin

Maybe if .22's the distance should be further for scope sights. Say....25 yards for iron and 50 for Scope. Another thing....deciding between yards and meters to begin with.

25 yards or meters.........KIS.
You shoot at the 25 yards range, I will use a 25 meter range.
I wouldn't make a problem of it.

Ok, think everybody who wishes to express an opinion has probably expressed it. I put in a poll that may not be exactly reflective of views expressed ......but I think it is close enough.
I'll leave it until Thursday morning and see what happens and go from there.
