Shot my target today at Jonzac.
Used my Norinco JW25A Mauser K98 copy with a Unifrance 4x32 scope and Blazer ammo.
Here are a couple of pics taken in my workshop before I set off.

Duncan's score is now officially recorded.
I'm working on what I'm going to give as a prize. It will have the name of the winner on it and an indication of finishing in first place. I'll show the pick after the contest comes to the close and I've ordered it. Don't get too excited about it as I'd like to keep the total cost, including mailing to the winner, to under $30 so it won't be much more than a token. But.....I don't think anybody is entering into this contest for any reason other than the fun of it, anyway. And....that's how it should be.

Duncan, I wish my scope rings were in a proper place, like yours.
When I bought my Chuckster, it had a different scope on it and it was too far forward.
When I bought a new scope, I had to replace the rings and put them this way to get the scope far enough back to see through.
Guess I should have spent more time picking a scope that was a better fit..........
Oh well, it works.
Vern.

I found this on GunAuction.com but that scope seems well forward and still not that well supported to me. Still, if it does the business Vern.............................

Time you started a "Where is it" book Eoin. My mother has had one for years although I am not sure where she put it last
Seriously though, it works well for her and at 88 she is still 100% independent...................

OK got to the range this morning with the Anschutz 54 as I needed to use it in a competition at my club next week , I decided to shoot prone , now I know why I dont shoot prone any more , elbows are aching and its difficult getting up again
I will use a different rifle each time I do this which will make a good comparison between them .
