Believe it or not, Lawrence Welk reruns are still playing on Public TV in the US. No young person liked Lawrence Welk when he was first on TV...or for the lots of years he managed to stay there as a current running in production show. The original young people who cringed every time he came on the air and their children after them couldn't believe a guy who played an accordion could possibly survive so long in the public eye. I wonder who is still alive and a fan watching the reruns? People must be coming back from the dead.
