Yes, I shoot the ramrod bayonet 88 trapdoor with 2F black with a cast 405 bullet. Accuracy not that great but it is fun to shoot. I also have a 1873 TD that was made into a carbine. I shoot it too and have used imr Trail boss powder and accuracy is only so so. The trail boss load is much more accurate in my rem-lee 45-70 rifle which was converted to a carbine. This is fairly accurate though and whoever converted it from a rifle did a fine job and it looks good too.

I can't tell you the caliber. I read somewhere that it's 5mm, but it's really close to .22.

I got a tin of ammo with it bu the label is gone. I can just make out the word 'flobert' on the tin.
