It's ugly, German, and civilian. I prefer military.

No it's not ugly, it's beyond ugly, it's FUGLY.
Yes it is German.
No it's not civilian but (failed) Military.

"No it's not civilian but (failed) Military."

I don't understand what you mean by this, please explain.

No it's not civilian but (failed) Military.
This aircraft was "designed to meet a specification calling for an air observation post and army co-operation aircraft placing emphasis on STOL and slow-flying performance and all-round visibility." Two protoypes were built and flown but the company was ordered to abandon further development.
The plane that was chosen instead was the Fiesler Storch.

Way to go Duncan, I couldn't find the damn thing anywhere. :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Anything not accepted by the military under contract is a civilian aircraft.
Military = Military
Not Military = Civilian

"No it's not civilian but (failed) Military."

Yes, it is civilian, there is no such thing as "(failed) Military".

Hey Vern, Boeing won the tanker thing years ago and then unwon it when it was found they paid off some high ranking guy and again after EADS won the same thing a year or so ago but was objected to by Boeing because they had some advantage or other and then they went into another scrimage that produced the lastest result and probably there will be some more political objections to follow and if they go examing it again then nobody will have won the contract. Now that is a really failed military contract.

And the military is still using the tankers made during the Eisenhower years. :loco:

And until someone has the contract long enough to build an aircraft that the military accepts, any aircraft built (which they haven't done) will be a civilian prototype.

And the tanker debate is over.

Somewhat academic for the RAF Vern, they have no aircraft left that need re-fuelling :loco:
