Hey Sarge, that's pretty good shooting... particularly the M14.

Good shooting AJ looks like your in pole position, I'm off to Bisley tomorrow so won't get a chance to topple you so its up to someone else now.

Its good to see you demonstrate the superiority of the .303" cartidge over the 30-06, and in a Mouser derivative too.

My attempt

I don't often get to shoot at 100 yards but did on Sunday. I was one of the ROs but got time for a quick blat. I thought I had a proper 100 yard target but couldn't find it so had to make do with the centre from a SMRC 100 yard smallbore target. The dimensions are a 2 inch bull, four inch nine ring, six inch eight ring and eight inch seven ring. I was using my .310 Cadet. Does that count as a Military rifle?

Anyway, the score is not good enough to win. I count it as 85. There are two shots together just in the black at 11 o'clock. The black is very small at 100 yards when viewed over fuzzy open sights.

Regards

Peter

Peter what sort of powder loads etc do you use in the Cadet.

Alliant 2400

I was using 8 grains of Alliant 2400 and a CCI small pistol primer. The bullet was 120 grain lead that I bought at Bisley last year. I have run out of bullets now so I will have to see about getting a mould.

Regards

Peter.
