Milsurp After Hours

There are a few of us in the club got 45acp Enfields and yesterday three of us got together for a session.

I had just fitted a S&K mount with Weaver scope to my No 4 converted Armalon, another member had fitted a Aimpoint??? to his moderated SMLE conversion while the other chap is waiting for a rear mounted Lane target sight for his SMLE conversion though he still manages decent scores even with the very short sight radius on his rifle.

Were did you get the weaver Joe I am looking for one of them.

Ah right. They are very difficult to find now a days. Off to the Yarners to night to meet Rog should be interesting.

Was this conversion to .45 a factory thing or after market.
If original, what was the point, just for close in fighting, with a
short barrel and high impact bullet??

Possibly not sure yet.
I don't have access to a indoor range I would like to shoot my underlever and .22 rifles. They are getting neglected.
I enjoyed my night at the Yarners but I had a few problems with the sights on my under lever and the target was blurred at 20yds. My right eye is now my weakest eye and being right handed that's not good. I think a visit to the opticians is in order to see if they can may be make up a pair of specs to help. My left eye is now my dominant eye but I can not shoot left handed.
I do not want to scope the Winchester that would really upset me to have to do that. We will see. I will probably go again.

those are interesting little carbines , i think it would be fun to shoot one
