If I print the target as "original" size it comes out about 7 and 5/8ths inches in diameter. If I print to "size to fit" it comes out a circle of about 7 and 1/8 inch in diameter. The larger target leaves some of the outside circle unprinted...but still within the borders of the paper.

Any instructions so everybody shoots the same size target?

For some reason, when I downloaded, the printing at the top shows, but not when I print
out the target....????

edit: At least you got the words at the top to print. I don't think we normally use A4 size page..?????
Maybe we should all just go to the web site and print our own targets from there??

Found the problem............

A4 = 11.7" x 8.3"

Standard US uses letter size = 11' x 8.5"

Tried to get an idea what a printed target would look like. I was wondering what that small black dot would do at 50 yards. I measured off about 140 feet, which was about as far as I could go to test it, and the target looks like a blank piece of paper. Maybe something with more of a larger dark area in the center would be better for aiming purposes.

I put up two targets we were talking about along side this new suggestion. I had managed to print the discussed ones up from the Skype the other day. It's kinda hard to photograph the same apparent distance with a telephoto lens to normal eyes. And... I don't have normal eyes anyway.

Duncan, I think you were going to the range Wednesday to give it some practical use to see what you think about it. We'll wait to hear back. I think maybe something that shows up more would work better.

Target dims..................................
US standard paper size is "Letter" 8.5" x 11"
European/UK standard paper size is "A4" 8.26" x 11.69

I suggest we use our own paper sizes and I create ' one of each ' :)

When downloading and printing remember that this is a jpeg and should print correctly if you open it with a photo programme.

As there are obviously some problems with distinguishing such a 'detailed' target I will try another style.

Details to follow - delete the first one..................................

I think the building behind the targets is Robert's workshop/carport and his
boat is under the cover in the carport.
