I need some help

I had my 7mm Brazilian 1908 out to the range and on collecting the brass I found the primers pushed out some.

It's factory ammo from Belgium made for Chilian 7mm Mausers in 1976. The ammo appeared to be in good shape. Out of the 15 rounds all but three have backed out primers. This is the first time I've collected brass from this rifle and so I don't know if this has happened before. Ammo all went off fine. The bolt looks okay too.

Any idea what's going on? Stop shooting? Danger?

Might be too much pressure. Any hard extraction?

Take a look at this website.

Thank you for the link, Niner!

I asked around and think I have it. A bit to much headspace or slightly too short a round. in either case it's harmless. I'll be sure to note what happens if I use other ammo types. I'm glad things are okay. I like the rifle and the 7x57mm round is quickly becoming a fav of mine.

Thank you for your help. It means a lot. :D

Do you have any headspace gauges? I'd have the headspace checked just to get a surer idea that it's the cartridge load that is the problem. I like to use a field gauge as a general check. If the evidence is the cartridge is loaded a bit on the hot side, I'd make some low power reloads next time I fired it.

I should get some.

A set of guages for my various milsurps would not be a bad idea.

Thanks for all the help, guys!
