He never was any war that I know of ...except with his own demons in his younger days. He did leave one song behind for the veterans of my war.

Never liked that song, or the one Kris Kristofferson did, and really hated
the stupid Green Beret song by some Sgt.
The best VN song was "We Gotta Get out of This Place" by the Animals.
Although it came out early in the war, summer of '65.
It really had nothing to do with the war, it just became the anthem of the VN war.
