I was offered a nice RFI No1Mk3* built in 1952.
The gun bears a odd stamp, looks like the star of david like on the israeli K98k.

Is that right and how common are such rifles?

awo425, I couldn't get a really clear resolution, but it looks to be a Lithgow inspection mark...is that an A inside the star?

Sorry, no better pics.
The Lightgow star is 7 pointed, while the star is 6 pointed star of david like the ones on the isreali K98k.

I have seen others like it befre, a six sided star with a W inside, General condensus is that it is a Weedon rebuild stamo.

Had a post on this not too long ago but I can't find it, must have been in the Ez days and gone the journey.
