Lovely No 5 pneps definitely worth boasting about, its almost as nice as Joes.

The aiming rest rest is a nice touch and great photography cradle, its so "in the spirit" it adds rather than detracts from the pictures.

How does she group?

Thanks for sharing.

pneps, Very nice '45...much nicer than many from the '44-'45 time frame. Yes, range report please.

Does anyone know if/when the rifles were originally painted from Faz.?

My FMP stamped 8/46 Faz. (Q s/n prefix) is blued (blackened?)

. . . and it's very nearly identical, except for the stock looking like it has Tung oil on it. Yours looks more like linseed. Mine has no US importer mark, but the front sight/flashhider has M47/C stamped on it. Is this normal on a Faz of this vintage?

Your flash suppressor assy was made by BSA. I have a 1946 vintage BSA that was used in Malaysia.

#5's are without a doubt my favorite bolt action rifle.
