Pattern 14's

My pal had just picked up an early ERA MkI* and, being keen to shoot it, asked if I had some indoor downloaded rounds he could try. So today I took along my Winchester P14 and took the opportunity of a few comparison snaps.
After a wee bit of foresight adjustment to the ERA we had a little competition and my pal outshot me with my own handloads!
Cest la vie.

So what are the loads Joe. I am using a 115 grain .311 boolit with 4 grains of Vit310 in mine for short range work.

I had two different loads Dave, a 155g NOE 155-316 PB sized .314 over 4.5g of N310.
And a 118g NOE 313640 PB sized .314 also over 4.5g of N310. Both loads shot well in both rifles when the nut behind the butt did his job right!

Thanks Joe. Interesting stuff these short range loads. I am quite enjoying reloading cast for my toys at the moment. I got some really good results with the MAS36 I was surprised. I am taking the Mosin Nagant to the range tomorrow night to chrono it. Seeing as I cant sell it I may as well shoot it.
