Greener Martini comparisons

Two of us in our club got together on Saturday for an impromptu competition with our .22 Martini conversions and as we had noticed quite a few differences in the two rifles, which were both W.W. Greener conversions, I thought a few pics of both rifles would be of interest.

At first glance they are very similar.

But on closer inspection we have a sleeved barrel and a crowned barrel.

I was toying with the idea of making a scope rail for my cadet but I can not see a way of mounting one without drilling and tapping and I don't want to do that.
