WW II planes used in a movie Battle of Britain being sold

Post by Niner » Tue Dec 16, 2014 9:49 pm

A general I happen to know slightly... hard to imagine somebody like me knowing a general.. but true... sent me this link. It's about a guy named Edwards that was some kind of special pilot who had a lot to do with the flying scenes in making the movie "Battle of Britain" lots of years ago. When it was over they couldn't pay him in money so he took the old Messerschmidt planes. Now that he is in his 80's they are for sale. Check out the movie at the end of the page at the site.

Wow.........just kind of leaves you speechless. Hopefully some rich people or organizations will buy
them to restore to flyable condition..........hopefully. :D

And don't forget that you out rank any general, you are a PFC........Proud F*cking Civilian......
:USA:

Peace is that brief, quiet moment in history.......... when everybody stands around reloading.

Such a great pity that he has let many of those items deteriorate to that state........... :(

Thanks for that link Robert, I read about them in an aeroplane comic but that link is more informative.
