Good Mauser informational sites?

I was wondering if there was a Mauser site as good for Mausers as 7.62x54.net is for Mosin Nagants? I have seen a few around my area for sale and wonder if any of them are unique and collectable..

They have a few down at the Gander Mountain by me. I was hoping to get ed-ju-micated first before I buy one. I may ask to take some pics of markings and research before I pick one. They are all M24/48(I think) and all the same price. Were they all in the same caliber or were there different calibers? The couple I looked at were 8mm.

The German, Czech and Yugo Mausers are 8mm Mauser as a rule. In a place like Gander Mountain or a pawn shop you are likely to find some Turk Mausers... made in Germany.... that are 8mm Mauser too. The condition of any of them are qualifiers as to pecking order. Generally , if I were going to rank desirability of the general run of 8mm rifles that you are likely to find, and this is just my personal experience and just an opinion, I'd rank them most desirable first this way. German 98 WWI , 98K WWII, M24, M24/47, M48, Turk. There quite a number of different Mauser rifles of different calibers out there. A lot of them are 7mm.
If you want a real overview of the different models by country, the authority, in my mind, is Robert Ball. His book, reissued and updated a few times, is his Mauser Military Rifles of the World. Check it out in a library or order a copy

Spent a good bit of the day poking around the sites you guys posted....err....I mean worked all day. Yeah thats right worked all day. Oh what am I worried about? the better half dont know about this site yet....

I've been to two Gander mtn stores to see about military surplus rifles. You never know what you'll find.
There are lots and lots of Mauser variations. I like the South American Export types. And I think that 7X57 has become my favorite round.
