HMS Bounty
Duncan's photo story of the ship that is a reproduction of the ship Lafayette sailed in to America got me to remembering a version of the HMS Bounty. I think the one that came to Mobile years ago was the one that was in the Brando version of the Mutiny on the Bounty.
Re: HMS Bounty
I found a folder with the pictures of the Bounty. Lots of years ago that movie ship was in Mobile. I couldn't remember if I posted them or not.

This is the Brando version of the 1962 MGM movie, built in 1960. It was in Bayou La Batre, Alabama for repairs and
to have the hull painted from blue to black and green for movies. It was actually a bigger version than the original
to make room for filming and production crews. It sank off the coast of North Carolina during Hurricane Sandy in 2012.
This is her in 2010.
Another one was built in '77/'78 for the Mel Gibson 1984 movie that was the correct size. It is still somewhere in Thailand.
This later, correct size version has fewer sails.
