Holga camera

I started this forum for any collecting hobby and it turned into my camera collecting and using forum. I use it mostly to keep a record of my photo adventures. Nobody but me seems to have photo adventures that visit here....but however. I have so many cameras now that I forget which is which and which ones work and which ones don't. If you have cameras and adventures you would be welcome to post here.

Holga camera

Holga is a Chinese toy camera. It's made for adult camera nerds. It takes pictures that are expected to be crap from the get go. It's one step above a pinhole camera. Can't wait to try it out. It uses 120 film and you have a frame that can either take 12 standard crappy images or add a plastic frame inside the camera and take 16 crappy images on the same roll of film. It's ......art photography... so some say. Great salesmanship on the part of whoever thought of it.

That is one of the favourite cameras of a member of DPA that you know about Robert. http://dpafriends.freeforums.org/listening-t4762.html

Personally I don't like most of his work - but he doesn't seem to like most of mine either.

Seems to me he spends a lot of time taking and processing just to produce images you can slash your wrists to :loco: :loco:

I'd take a look Duncan, but I forgot my password and only people with passwords can see the site. If the guy gets a kick out of this toy film camera it's a wonder he wasn't run off from the dedicated "Digital Photo Art" group pretty quickly. He must not be easily discouraged........particularly if you told him his work was meant to slash ones wrists to.

I'll stick to my Sony Ciber-Shot DSC-W70 and my DSC-W119.

My favourite though is my Konica-Minolta Dimage Z3 even though it's only 4.0 mega pixels and 12x optical zoom.
It's very comfortable to hold and uses four AA batteries.
