1916 Remington Instructie M91

There is something about well worn Mil-Surps that just makes you wish they could tell there story, and this rifle is no different.
I recently found this 1916 Remington Instructie M91 while cruising around Gunbroker and since it had a low bid on it and I needed an M91 Instructie for the collection I threw a bid onto it and was pleasantly surprised when the auction ended I was still top bidder. The rifle is a typical Romanian mix-master with both pre & post 1928 Izhevsk parts as well as Tula, Remington, & Setroryetsk parts. The rear sight is off a Izhevsk Dragoon and the bore was a total sewer pipe that surprisingly cleaned up quite nicely. The hand guard has the large aluminum rivets and a sizeable chunk gouged out of it and the barrel bands are tacked into place.
This will make a very nice addition to my Romanian Mosin collection.
