This is my 1943 no4 mk1 I have had it for a few weeks, spent most of that time cleaning up the wood.
Took her to the range last weekend Pics below.

Nice looking No4 you've got there and she's cleaned up nice, looks loke a shooter and a keeper

Im not sure where in England she was made, I cant get onto the site I normaly use

I do know she was made in 1943, she has seen some action in a sandy area as there was a lot of sand inside the stock when I stripped her down for cleaning.

if you describe the markings on the reciever butt socket we might be able to help identify the manufacturer

I think that the Broad head arrow is stuck over another marking?
What do you guys think?

Looks like a Maltby to me, the broad arrow is struck over the "M".
The prefix letters are Maltby assigned ones.

Maltby in Yorkshire! excellent! its nice to know that she was made in a royal ordanance factory.
Any idea what the AJ stands for??

Got 100 rounds of ammo today off for some fun at the range on sunday moving out to the 100 yard targets
