Bayonete problem

I just got my bayonete from Impact guns, vey dissapointed, it looks like it was broken in two and then repaired with solder, note the peice on metal that fell of while cleaning it.
Anybody ever seen anything like this before?

Thats shocking, no way is that fit for any purpose including display.
I'd demand my money back and never shop with them again.

first one i've seen with solder on it I would send it back.

BA i think Impact guns are taking the piss sending a bayonet out in that condition,
Which rifle is it for? No.4?

After giving them the link to this forum and others that i posted this in they have told me that they will send out a new one "hand picked"
Here's hoping for a display quality one this time.

"...No.4?..." Yep. One of the 6 or 7 variations of the spike. An early one. Same 'blade', but a different socket. They were sold as tent pegs up here, in the 60's. All the No. 4 bayonets I have I bought at gun shows. I think I need 3 or 4 to have 'em all. Mind you, they're not as cheap nor in as good condition as they used to be. I think the most I paid for any one was $2Cdn.

If anyone wants spares,
Smokey Mountain Knife Works has spike bayonets (no details) at $3.99 ($2.49 without scabbard)
and
IMA has
No. 4 spikes at $ 7.50
"British" No.9 (blades) at $ 19.95
South African No.9 (different blade) at $ 18.95
Any use?
