Webley Junior Air Pistol .177

Picked up one of these recently for A$100, good ones go for a lot more but this one won't cock.
So I took a punt on it and having finally had this LETHAL weapon licenced to me and got my claws on it, I stripped it down and all that it seem to need is a new scear spring.
Everything else, except perhaps the leather washer, is in very good condition.

The spring measures 0.124 inches diametre so is probably a nominal 1/8 inch; length is the problem as the spring has been crushed a bit.

Does anyone know the correct length?

I could buy a spare from the UK but the rigmarole associated with importing a part for such a deadly weapon is far too onerous to be worth it, especially as I can probably buy proprietary springs locally.

All help appreciated.

Thanks, Duncan, I've looked at a number of diagrams and am going to start off with a 1/2" long spring, or maybe a bit longer and work down.
It seems, from the design, that the spring tension, or rather, compression, plays a very important part.
Going to a large general hardware store tomorrow and I kodw that they have a wide range of small springs.

Will give progress reports!!

Concealed carry? That'll be the day
