Camp Coffee is a brown liquid which consists of water, sugar, 4% caffeine-free coffee essence, and 26% chicory essence
Coffee and chicory blend is a New Orleans holdover tradition from harder times...like the US Civil War under Union Occupation I'd guess. But... I'd think you'd have to look far to find this canned stuff in the US.
