Here's a couple of pictures of my BSA Lee Speed for a comparison with Pneps's beautiful LSA in a previous post.

The rear sight is the same cape sight as on the LSA.

This particular rifle shoots very well getting me fourth place in the running deer competition at the Imperial meeting.

Here’s mine. It’s a BSA no. 3 trade pattern carbine. It’s the one in the middle of the photo. As you can see, it is almost identical to the New Zealand carbines flanking it, except for (a) having no upper handguard and (b) having no protector wings on the front sight.

I really like these Lee-Speeds. In addition to this nice BSA carbine, a few months ago I had the good fortune to come across a Canadian dealer selling an LSA Lee-Speed Lee-Metford mk. II for a very reasonable price. Needless to say, the Metford now also resides at my house.

Well spotted, Ray. No, it's not just your eyes. The commercial carbine has a five-round, not six-round, mag, so it is a little shorter and for some reason has a rounded bottom.

Heres Dromias Lee Speed in action at Battle Hill.

Note the two classic British vehicles in the background, true gentlemens conveyances ;)
