No5 wood in UK?

Since we've got a few new No5 owners reporting in - does anyone in UK know of a source for a No5 forend? Its needed for a club gun with a forend shattered beyond repair (is already full of pins, wedges, supaglue, etc....).

.....also have a Fazakerley No5 wearing a full set of BSA woodwork for some reason. If someone has its cross-dressing BSA cousin, I'd be interested in doing a swap.

.....and I need two normal or long No5 butts, 'cos I'm fed up with getting a nose bleed c/o the "S" butts on two other 5s....

Can't say that I've ever come across one when rummaging around in dealers bins, but then I haven't specifically asked either.

Obviously emails to all the usual dealers is worth a try but don't believe that they will get back to you if they say so.

I've come across butts and handguards occasionally, but not recently.

You might try A J Parkers in Birmingham (they finally have a website). They're a treasure trove of all things Enfield. I had my Savage No.4 rebarreled by them very reasonbly with a brand new Maltby barrel.

Terry Abrahams might be another source of Enfield Parts or try LERA website for suggestions on parts.

Good Luck with the search

GPC has #5 wood that is converted from #4's, they would probably be OK as a replacement.

I don't know if they ship to the UK but if not we could probably get one over there to you provided it would be legal to import.

Just took a look on Cobbaton Arms website and they say they (might) have No.5 woodwork; but it's POA so it's a case of ask while sitting down!

Thanks for the suggestions.

Both Cobbaton and AJP were stripped bare a long time ago. Have tried Terry A, and he will have a look....
