For some reason, every time I start to buy a K98 I end up not doing it. I'm not sure why I have a number of other Mausers, although the only ones I have shot for well over a year are 1916's in 7x57.

That is a nice looking rifle, but I could probably buy the Trijicon ACOG

sight for my CAR15 for what they get for one of those.

Sure, a nice rifle, but with NO history behind.

I don't know why, but the only K98 I would like to have, is one from Norway in 30-06

I've got two that were war issue but later owned by Communist block countries where they removed all the important proof marks. But..... I didn't pay much for either one. Accordingly they are probably only worth what I paid.

For some reason I have never gotten too excited about K98k's. Maybe the feeling will come over me at some later date. LOL. But the pictures show a really pristine looking "anniversery edition" rifle. Guess you will have to go with your gut feeling....or whatever your wife thinks about it.
