310 cadet

I have been on the look out for a 310 cadet for ages I think Iv located one. Ill know for sure tomorrow Iv seen some pics if its as good in the flesh Ill be well pleased.
Ill post some pics if all goes well.

...I have just had my FAC renewed and had the cadet put on it so I can shoot it. I have bought 200 cast bullets for it. I now need cases. A fellow club member uses modified .32-20 cases. I will probably do the same as that is much cheaper than buying Bertram cases. I am looking forward to shooting this rifle.

Well, congrats both of you - these little rifles are really a pleasure to shoot, and quite accurate too. Only one problem: before you know it, you're out of ammo, and you have to reload those cases again...
peter, 32-20 brass is prfectly useable (in fact, I do it all the time) - you only need to trim to correct length, and possibly (depends on your chamber) thin the rim, which you can either swage or file (in a drill press). Event hough the cases are slightly undersize at the base, this doesn't cause any problems as the .310 is only a low-pressure round. These little rifles can turn in quite good performance at ranges you wouldn't believe possible, provided you can manage the sights (I definitely need shooting glasses with a cadet) In short, you can use them to shoot gallery matches, but also for classic military rifle (as Oz. did issue them during WWII) - or participate in miniature rifle matches. I wouldn't bwant to be without mine...

The cadet arrived this morning they sent me the wrong one. The one that turned up is in poor shape its going back.
Contacted them they apolagised they sent the one I wanted to somebody else. Story of my life really.
Ill keep looking. Anybody any suggestions were I might get a decent one.
