The A400m is a lot newer design, can carry more, and has a greater top speed. It also is made by Airbus and Airbus has a plant in Mobile Alabama....although that particular model isn't made in Mobile.

Wonder what the test of those planes in the video would have looked like if both of them were fully loaded?

"Hercules C-130 vs Airbus A400M Which one Better ?" Kind of a stupid comparison video.
The C-130 first flew in 1954, and the A400M first flew in 2009.
So Airbus had 55 years to make improvements to the basic C-130 design.
If they didn't make any improvements, then what would be the point of building the A400M??
Obviously there have been many upgrades to the C-130 over the years, but those can only go so far.
So there is no doubt the 11 year old A400M is better than the 66 year old C-130, how could it not be??
Kind of like asking... "M48 Patton tank vs FV4034 Challenger 2 tank. Which one is better ?".... Duh .......

It was pretty special when that big ugly duck did the loop to loop. It was about like watching an eighteen wheeler running around the track at the Indy 500.
