Milsurp After Hours

Yuengling is the oldest popular brewery in America. It's in Pennsylvania. Hershey's chocolate is one of the oldest candy makers in America. It's in Pennsylvania. The Hershey Bar is an American standard for premium popular candy. Now Yuengling introduces a porter with Hershey chocolate in it.

The idea seems bad. I had to try it anyway.

The odd thing is that it says on the bottle you have to be 21 to drink the stuff... or maybe buy it. Don't know why that is on the label. It doesn't say anything about alcohol anywhere on the bottle. My guess is it is just something like the average 4.5 or 5 %.

And... it tastes surprisingly good. The mildest chocolate aftertaste is all that I can think to say that is remarkable about it. No bitterness at all. Not much head or fizz to it. Would I drink more than one of an evening?... No. Would I likely buy this beer again any time soon?....no. Something about the chocolate doesn't seem right in booze.

Would make one hell of a root beer float.......

I guess French Fries in France are probably par for the course. In the US you might get your potatoes in various forms. Some photos collected on various occasions to show this observation. Otherwise.... steak or seafood, beer, potatoes.

Always chips with steak............NOW, Chips are English, Frites are French and the bloody Belgians spatter them with mayonnaise instead of good old Malt Vinegar.

And what you probably call potato chips we call Crisps.

Not just the Belgians. My wife sometimes puts mayonnaise on her chips and she is English. I use salt and vinegar. Melted cheese on chips is OK as well.

You have to use ketchup on any kind of fried potatoes in the US or someone would think you strange. Or a foreigner......... I guess. However, melted cheese on fries is ok too.

Also is popular.... chili and cheese on fries. Personally, I like tartar sauce on fries, or mayo and ketchup mixed up
with a shot of hot sauce. Don't know what the Euros call the triangle mexican chips, but cover them with melted cheese,
meat, beans, salsa, and sour cream and you have nachos......yummmmm.

Sorry guys but all that slush just masks the fabulous taste of fresh fried chips in a buttered bred cake with salt and vinegar.
