I got this rifle just before Christmas last year, but only just got round to taking a few photos of it. The stock has been cleaned up and the back sight is a mix of Winchester and Eddystone parts. The bolt is a replacement to the original has had the original number over stamped with another number so you can't really read either one. This has probably been used as a target rifle with a Parker Hale 5B target sight fitted. That would explain why the rear sight is a mix of parts as the original will have been removed and lost and it has been replaced with one made up from a spares box. The bore isn't too bad and it has the original 1917 dated matching barrel. Not the most original example, but it will do. At least it has had a life. I haven't shot it yet but will as soon as the range opens.
Peter.

It's a cool find.
If the rifle could tell its story...
I love the volley sights!

Re: Winchester P14
Great looking rifle Peter, a P14/M1917 has eluded my collection.
