Milsurp After Hours

Talked to a guy today that was selling ammo on craigslist but wording it so it didn't sound like ammo unless
you were familiar with it. He also has a 1954 Tula SKS and around 2300 rounds of ammo for it for $1400 or $1600 as
I didn't write it down. Probably a decent price but I don't need another one, he said "it's a real Russian one" as if that
will make it shoot better than my two Chinese SKSs. It might mean more to a serious collector, but we know that's not me.
Haven't talked guns to anyone for a long time and it was kind of fun discussing the guns and ammo we both have.

It just so happens I have a 1954r dated Russian. I keep a tag on all my collection and write what I paid for them on the tag, along with the year I bought it, just so I won't otherwise totally forget. This one came with the sling. I bought it at a gun shop that no longer exists.

I only have 2 SKS, both Chinese arsenal 26, a 1961 with blade bayo and a 1966 paratrooper carbine with a spike bayo.
Just checked Gunbroker and the Chinese are going for $500 to $1100 depending on condition. .....
