Pig hunt, 2005

Actually it was more like several nice walks in the woods and 1 cold night in tents.
We didn't see a pig but according to the game camera at the neighbor's feed plot there is at least 1 big 300+ pound boar out there. The camera also showed a large bear so Bob did not stray more than 5 feet from his rifle the whole time.
They have taken 40+ pigs in the last 2 years.
Here is Bob returning to camp with my brother's totally blind dog following behind. He and Bob became great friends. You can just see the tents in the clump od trees ahead of him.

It was in the low 30's and he is waiting for the water to boil so he can make a cup of instant ramen. The only time the rifle left his shoulder was when we were in the house.

This is looking up the creek, the tents are on the left.

And this is looking down stream.

All in all we had a great Thanksgiving, we had dinner with Mom & Dad and my Sister and 1 of my nephews, and of coarse my brother and his partner .
This is what they do to make a living way out there.
Those are orchids, from all over the world and also from their own lab.

We use 4 pound back packing tents. I took this pic Friday afternoon from inside mine, just room enough for me, my pack, and the bare essentials.

Here are our tents, the creek is just behind our camp.

And one final pic, here we are on a big rock.
