Would you Buy a "Line-Out"

Would anyone buy the "new" Century Line-outs on the next shipment of K-31's ( yep another shipment)or wait and only buy the "older" rifles.

I looked at all mine (not really that many). And they all were a little different from almost nothing( a 1958 from an old out of biz WA state dealer) to a small mark on the recv, to the "dot-matirx" current ones. Would you "restore" a line-out, so the extra number doesn't glare out at you ? Blue it, not grind it off/I think that's a no-no.

Thoughts ? Maybe I just stop buying them and look elsewhere ?

I don't know for sure but I like the rifles so much that I doubt that it would really matter as long as I get it:D;

I don't know. Been thinking about it for a long time now. I want to say no will stick with the old ones. But there just might be that one rare instance that trips me up. I do view the lined out ones as less valuable.

Right now my buying is at a halt. I need some scopes for some rifles and want to get a third M1 Garand. But I love the K31's so much I figure I will buy more. I would say if I find one with a real nice piece of wood that is lined out I will still buy it but will probably try to get ones without the line out.

None of my six are outstanding pieces. All of them have decient wood and great bores. They also have all matching numbers except for my 34 has a 44 stock. I just don't think collectors take these rifles as serious as rifles with a war time history so it will be mostly shooters buying them so a line out will not hurt value as much as it would some other rifles.
