$600-$800 FOR THESE RIFLES IN RIDICIOUS! I can't believe someone else with experience in collecting Finn Rifles have not stepped forward to call bullcrap on AIM. These are twice the Auction Arms or Gunbroker.com prices. Only 2 people benefit from these type of off the wall sales AIM and people who already have these in their collection.

Guns are like the stock market

Ask is one thing . Purchase is another. Lets see how well they sell. AIM has been one of the better sources , and I have bought from them on several occaisons and the only reservations I have had is the freight on their ammo. After all, it is a real market, and when somebody we respect makes such an offering , maybe our collection stock, if we have any Finns, will go up.

What they are offering are individual weapons, not a stockpile. It is no different from some of the well respected boutique sellers that are regularly praised on the more main stream milsurp sites.

I do think they are assuming more value than there is in most of these offerings by 30% or more.

Niner is absolutely correct.Asking is one thing and getting is another. In my opinion a lot of people post on various sites, escpecially the auction sites,at a substancially inflated asking price hoping to catch the uninformed or unaware and relieve them of their dollars.

Dishonest?No.Unscrupulos?To a degree.Misleading?Sometime.The American capitalistic way?100 percent.

Purchasers should educate themselves before offering their money. If you are an uneducated or uninformed purchaser and you pay more for something that isn't misdescribed then the fault is yours.

I notice that a Gunbroker/Auctionarms group called OLDRIFLES take a lot of heat for their prices being very high from certain people. Now I see AIM is right up there with them and in fact has passed them up.

I thunk I saw ol Daddy digging a ditch after he bought some C&R's from AIM!

I'm after some good quality M39's for shooters, as I have a fine antique for show. I need a stock set for my barreled action, and one or two Seko's and a VTK..

I'll leave the M27, 28's and Tikka's for the financially solvient, as I'll use my solvent to clean my dirty M39's!

Thanx Dante' :CA: :salute:

I guess the collector market has spoken. They dropped it down half price....$495...which is still $150 over.

How about the antique receiver M39's at Wholesale G&A?

They have so many; some are quite reasonable, others seem high.

I just got one: under $200, 100% blue, nice stock, VKT 1941 barrel... and it shot very well.

$100 M39's are gone forever.

Thats not bad. Last one from them for meNon-antique was 229 about two years ago for 100% blue 41 SAKO. I'm waitng to see if WGA gets going this Spring with their other Finns they have been forbidden to sell. I know that I'm going to pay if I do see a B-barrel ,or No-maker/Sneak.

We just don't have the pawn shops /gunstores or shows around here that produce any Finn Mosins.

That's life in 2006. The cheapest I have ever paid has been 150 from Allan's Armory for a so-so 42 VKT awhile ago.

I want just a couple more, then that's it. I moving on to something else.

Unless I find a M24,M27,m28 or another 28/30. Okay a nice M91

Crazy huh?
