Woftam's Battery for Deerpark on Saturday

Deer park is a reactive range with Figure 14 type targets set at different distances that drop when hit, we'll also set up some bulls eyes for the more traditional shooting.

The battery I'm taking for Graeme to shoot is as follows:

Joe would you mind topping up the Enfield/.303 line up with your CLLE, No5, No4 Mk2 and the .303" Martini, your P17 and No8 would ring the changes with calibres as well.

I'll see if Jumper Man will take that excellent Moisin Nagant PU Sniper I sold him.

There will be lots of nasty black rifles there as well, with more glass than Pilkingtons used to have, like AR straight pulls, Accuracy Internationals and Sakos all capable of taking the tits of a flea at 600 yrds but having no beauty, soul, or challenge to them.

Mr Enfield will be opening the Australian wing of his collection for your perusal as well, they will be rare, unusual and high quality items that you would kill for.

His knowledge of all things Enfield especially the arcane is truly vast, either that or he could bullshit for Britain at the Olympics, I tend to think it is the former.

Australian WWII SMLE sniper, P14 (F), Galilean sights (Neil) on rifle.

One of the first LITHGOW SMLE's The receiver is dated 1914 serial number in the 4000s first months of production currently away for proofbut could be back for Saturday.

A rather odd SMLE that is allegedly one of 500 converted for Australian cavalry.

a Winchester P14 a Carl Gustaf 6.5x55 Mauser a heavy barreled smle target rifle and whatever else happens to be in the back of the motor.

By the way it is bloody freezing here at the moment bring warm clothing.

If Mr Enfield is bringing goodies for you to look at I suggest you bring a camera you will get to see stuff like this in the flesh very rarely.

The Guy is a guru when it comes to Enfields his collection is stuff that dreams are made off.

I am truly overwhelmed. Some of the firearms listed I have never seen inside a museum let alone outside one where I am given the opportunity to handle them.

9am Deerpark Catterick first shot down range, get yourself up Brian and I'll supply the ammo and the chip in the two quid for your lunch for you, you know your more than welcome.

Even Graeme can't shoot all that kit at the same time.

The beauty of Deerpark is there's no marking required, so its just shoot, shoot, shoot all day long.

Seriously if anyone wants to come along its no problem its a guest day, just give me a shout.
