Yes the shell is supposed be about the same as a 230 morris but in rimfire type.. Elmer. I found this shell mentioned on a site about Tranter but no pictures.

Ok Elmer,

I'll try and get back on the case for you.

I have quiete a lot of Tranter stuff but I packed all my pistol stuff away after the ban.

I'm sure there are some good Guns Review (now there was a proper shooting magazine) articles that might fit the bill, any Uk readrers remeber them so I would know which year to look?

The .230/5mm rimfire cartridge used in early Tranter revolvers (and some of his early "rook" rifles) was a very early rimfire cartridge DIFFERENT from the .22/5.6mm rimfire we all know and love. It was not at all like the .297/.230 Morris CF, nor very like the .230 CF, but was a short, straight-cased RF. It was not a Tranter design, but originated in Europe. I can post images if someone will tell me how, or I can e-mail them.
