Took this to the range on Sunday, mainly to give the others

some chance

Shoots better than I can hold and is surprisingly

accurate considering the short comings of the action,

but I guess .22rf doesn't affect it much.

50 metres

This was a handicap event and I nominated 19 h/cap so

I busted yet again. Just what the scorer was calculating

I don't know. Still would have busted.

Here's the rifle and its repro sights.

and another target, 20 shots, elbows on the bench, shoots

on point of aim, which I prefer for bunnies.

I am not displeased, not target accurracy but plenty good

enough for the field. I must make up an apperture sight

though, just to see what it is capable of.

Very fast for follow up shots, only needed of course when

another bunny takes off at full speed after hearing the first

shot ;) ;)

bunny shooting with a .22 is such fun and that group isn't to bad with the iron sights that come on those.

I have always liked the M1866.
