Nice to see a K31 that doesn't have the water mark on the butt stock. Wonder where those came from anyway, and why they had been stored in such a way that they had that two or three inch discoloration from water damage?

In passing, the water damage didn't hurt the name tag under the butt....at least on the one I got.

I saw a photo on a site that showed K31s stacked (piled) with the butt stood in a few inches of snow. I think that is where the water damage comes from.

Peter, that makes sense. It never snows where I live so it didn't cross my mind.

It should be safe to assume that K-31s were treated the same way.
