We were supposed to be shooting on a ETR range today, but were told by the army yesterday they wanted to use it! Anyway we got an alternative range right next door.

Excellent weather ? I knew you blokes were saving something until after I'd left.
Nice to see you blokes out having a good time.
I still think standing in holes in the ground is an odd way to shoot. At least the new guy had the sense to use the prone position or does standing in a hole require years of training and dedication ?

Mate, it's training for trench warfare, an' in normal weather you can huddle down in the trench out of the wind and a couple of ammo boxes and a groundsheet gives raised overhead cover from the sleet, rain and snow.
Eoin.
PS. It's raining outside and a cold miserable NSW Highlands day. What's it like on the coast?

Miserable, cold and raining in the highlands eh ?
Just waved the daughter off to Armidale before I posted previously - she will be pleased.
Weather here is overcast with rare showers and intermittent sunshine.
A shoot with the above bunch of reprobates (Ellen is excused from that description) is a very good day in any weather.
I'll have to drag the camera along to the next club shoot and post a few photo's to show what excellent weather is really like.

Don't bother woftam,
You don't get nice weather on that side of the coast !We get it all and send the leftovers to you !!
Got me buggered how civies can access to defence ranges like that. try that here na wake Ned you wouldn't even get the phone number.
Very nice selection of rifles and gear boys.
Ellen married ?

Good pictures. Tells us a lot about how the weather is very different for all of us around the world. In south Alabama it is a surprise to see coats on in late April and reports of "excellent" weather while wearing them.
Just wish I could go shooting. Too many darn projects in the way.
